Publisher: Enshu-ya Hikobei Fine impression, color and condition. Ushiwakamaru was the childhood name of Yoshitsune. Benkei had sworn to collect a 1000 swords and would ambush samurai crossing Gojo Bridge until Yoshitsune defeated him using Tengu martial arts. It was then that Benkei became the loyal guardian of Yoshitsune.
