Publisher Kaku-kin Fine impression, color and condition R - Nakamura Shikan IV as Magoshishi, C - Kawarazaki Gonjuro I as Taheiji and L - Iwai Kumesaburo III as Oyone. Kawarazaki Gonjuro was the early stage name of Ichikawa Danjuro IX and Iwai Kumesaburo was the earlt stage name of Iwai Hanshiro VII. The play was adapted from a popular e-hon published in 1810. Illustratedin Yoshitoshi - Masterpieces from the Ed Freis Collection, #15. Rare early actor triptych.
